So when my physio said to me that my lower abdominal mucles where almost as weak as an 80 year old’s I felt it was my final cue to get myself back in the gym. For the last two years I haven’t been able to work out much as before because of damage done to my pelvic muscles during the birth of my second son. Long story short, but my midwife did not believing I was in advanced labour due to my calmness and breathing (hypnobirthing techniques) – she popped for a chat – and I had the baby on my own. Before the birth of my second son I was in great shape. Able to run 20 miles in 3 hours, I ran the marathon with only 3 month’s training and a bad knee. So imagine my frustration when I had not been able to do much in the last two years. I researched the best workout for someone in my position and pilates was recommended.
From the moment I met Gaby at Exhale Pilates London I knew she would be the one to get me back to my pre baby fitness. Gaby has a list of A list clients that she will never share with you as she is very modest and all about the art of pilates. I have now been training with Gaby and her wonderful term for just over a month and I am already feeling strong. Gaby is truly one of the best fitness instructors I have worked with and I have worked with a few. She makes her clients feel at ease and safe. She also has given me so much encouragement that I will be able to get back into running and training again once everything has stabilised.
The studio is equipped with the latest handmade equipment including a Reformer, Cadillac and Wunda chair. I would recommend Exhale pilates for anyone looking for a great mental and physical work out. Until next time. Xx
