My poor precious little girl! She has had a continuous ear and throat infection for a full three months now and has only just started recovering from it. I think as mums we are sometimes too focussed on the mission, on the routine, on targets to enjoy the moment. I find that so often I have to force myself to stop, to pause from the routine and just be. Being a mum of two under threes, routine is a life saver but some days we simply just let go and moments like this happen. (see picture below) xx

I’m not going to lie in the slightest or sugar coat it. The first year spent with Ari has been the most challenging and euphoric year of my life. The challenges have been so wide ranging, confusing, unexpected and emotional but the pay off has been one of elation, sense of accomplishment and getting to experience the most intense love I’ve ever had the privilege of feeling.
