Mothers That Rock by Dunja

I think I’m in love with Cate Blanchett. If I had to name one person, other than my parents, who inspire me, it has got to be Cate. She’s raising four kids without a nanny, co runs a theather company with her husband of 17 years, acts full time, and always makes sure she’s never away from her children for more than 6 days, taking them on shoots with her during their school holidays.
I also very much admire her for speaking out against mothers who judge others’ style of parenting. Cate says she likes to parent her kids like noone is watching. After all, if uyou’re succeeding as a parent, it’s nobody’s business how you’re doing it!
Here’s a couple of beautiful quotes I found from Cate on children:

– Children certainly teach one about compromise. I think before having children the idea of compromise rubbed shoulders with weakness or deception in some way

– Children are spirited, passionate, political, demanding. They are also heartbreaking. They constantly extend parents and so parents are constantly confronted with their failures, don’t you think? I’d rather presently live life this way than not.
