Fashion Buys by Dunja

Forget outfit of the week this week! I’ve been in Goa so style went out the window.

A little fact that all closest to me are fully aware of: I love designer and vintage clothes, but as far as shoes go, most of them come from Clarks!

This pair is perfect for the office, cocktails, dinner party, wedding, the list goes on!

They also come in black snake and pale yellow. And as a bonus, they are currently on sale at £30!!

Mothers That Rock by Dunja

Over the years, as a model, I did quite a bit of work with the amazing mother and businesswoman Stella McCartney. I admired her before I met her but the level of admiration truly shot up after spending time around her. Once we had to work at her gorgeous house in Notting Hill and her little girl was at home at the time.  I loved observing how Stella managed to balance motherhood and work by involving her daughter in the work we were doing and at one point sweetly noticing that her daughter’s fingernails had gotten too long and needed a cut.  When we were in the office she used to have her baby with her so she could breastfeed and also had the same rule for those working for her. Staff could even bring their pets to the office! This is one mum that truly got the balance just right!

Weekend fun xx by Oreke

I had a  wonderful time at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.  The gardens were beautiful, the roses smelled divine and we had  a lot of food options, as well as live music. Unfortunately no babes in arms or under fives allowed so this is a family activity for older kids. The show ends at 8pm tonight ; if you are looking for something to do why not go and smell the roses. Until next time xx

Eating Out With Little Ones by Dunja

Ari and I may live in Essex but whenever we have a day off we like to venture into London. We have become experts at choosing the best kid friendly places to eat out in the very center of London. If I find it quite boring waiting for my food to arrive, I can only begin to image how bored my hyper 2 year old must be!

So here’s a list of restaurants with delicious food and a play area for the kids:

* My personal favorite, and hence being at the top of the list, is Tibits in Heddon Street, just off Regent Street. It’s a fancy vegetarian buffet place with a spacious outside area where the kids can run around safely, and downstairs seating with a playroom! Only people with kids venture downstairs so you don’t have to worry about your little one annoying anyone

* Carluccio’s in Garrick Street, Covent Garden has a lovely atmosphere, and also provides a play area. The food is very simple, classic Italian, so most kids are more than happy to eat anything off their menu

* Bodeans in Soho is perfect if you’re starving and on a budget. Kids eat for free, it’s extremely child friendly and they play movies downstairs to keep them entertained while you eat

* If you’re looking for a restaurant that purely tailors to your kids’ needs, look no further than Rainforest café on Shaftesbury Avenue. An amazon themed restaurant with a collection of moving animatronics, waterfalls and tropical fish tanks! But do beware; kids might be too busy playing to have a good feed!

Yes, there are plenty of restaurants around London with crèches and activity areas, but if you are in the very center, the ones above are your best options!

Bach to Baby by Dunja

If you’re a fan of classical music and your kids like nursery rhymes (I challenge you to find one that doesn’t!) book a ticket for the Bach To Baby musical performances.  Venues are all across London and the South East so there’s bound to be one near you. Only downside is that most of them are on from Monday to Friday, making it difficult for working parents to get to but there are a few weekend performances in Covent Garden.  Find a date that works for you on their website http://www.bachtobaby.com/calendar/
